Message for parents

Provision for Pupils of Key Workers only (children highlighted in the government key workers document) from Friday 27th March and during the Easter holidays will be at Shute Primary School – 01297 33348 or email

The government are advising that, “If it is at all possible for children to be at home they should be”.  Using the school as a care provider should be the last option and only if you cannot keep your child safe at home.  The aim of closing schools is to minimise social interaction and to stop the spread of the virus.

Extra-Curricular Activities & Clubs

At Kilmington Primary we have a wide variety of lunch time and after school clubs which include a selection of activities.

Many of the older children (Years 3 – Year 6) receive music tuition on a wide variety of instruments, which is arranged by the parents through ‘West Country School Music’.

Our school believes in friendly competition and as part of this we play matches against our neighbouring schools and we take part in various tournaments and sports festivals.

Visits to various establishments are part of our on-going curriculum work and we also invite into school people with varying expertise and talents. The older children have an opportunity to participate in either a five day residential visit (Year 5 and Year 6) or a three day residential visit (Year 3 and Year 4).

This terms clubs include: Football, Netball, Eco Team, Art, Gardening, Hockey, Loose Parts Play, Music & Pottery
